If you're going to drive around a motor racing circuit for 1000km, you might as well do it in the lap of luxury.
That's why Lexus is entering not one, but two cars in the Suzuka 1000km endurance race this weekend.
Admittedly, the SC430 and GS450h have been stripped out for racing, but they still use the same basic mechanical components as their road-going counterparts.
The GS450h should fare well in the endurance race as it uses a stock 340bhp combined power output from its 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine and electric motor.
The SC430 has been tweaked somewhat to realise 473 bhp at 7200rpm and Lexus proudly boasts that the SC has taken over from the popular Toyota Supra as the weapon of choice for Japanese endurance racing teams.
